Karen Urban, NP
Karen Urban relocated to Virginia after spending 23 years in Grand Junction, Colorado. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pa., Karen earned a BSN and MSN from the University of Pittsburgh. Karen brings a wealth of clinical experience as an RN. In addition, she taught nursing at Colorado Mesa University where she completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree and Family Nurse Practitioner license.
Karen enjoyed many years of Colorado winter sports like down hill skiing and snowshoeing and now enjoys exploring the outdoors of Virginia. She maintains a healthy lifestyle by running and hiking, and, frequently attends concerts at the beach or amphitheater. Karen has two young adult children who both attended the University of Colorado in Boulder and visit Virginia Beach often. Karen is committed to providing high quality patient-centered care and values health promotion and patient education.
